Florencio Eloy Hernández (PhD)
(Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Optics, University of Central Florida)

 Current Research Interests

G Characterization and study of the structure-property relationship for new nonlinear optical materials with high three, four and perhaps five-photon absorption cross-sections.

A Fabrication of new functionalized metal nanostructures to enhance high order nonlinear absorption processes in fluorophores via SPR.

B Radiative Decay Engineering on new hybrid organic-inorganic systems

I Development of new highly selective and sensitive biological and chemical sensing systems using hybrid systems and Surface Plasmon Resonance.

J It is also of my interest the application of liquid crystals optical properties to design new optical devices (see POLARA˛).
