Nanophotonics Materials Laboratory

We have a 35 ps OPO tunable from 2000 nm (Idler) to 400 nm (signal) pumped by the 3rd harmonic that is set up for Z-scan, pump-probe and multi-photon fluorescence experiments. The picosecond laser is a mode-locked Nd-YAG, EKSPLA PL2143B/TH. This unit is being currently updated with the addition of a Second Harmonic Generator for tunability to 210 nm in the UV. We also hold a Raman microscope model Olympus BX40, a spectrophotometer TRIAX 550 (JOBIN YVON) with a liquid nitrogen cooled CCD array, a cw He-Ne laser, and an Ocean Optics Spectrometer model USB-2000 single channel for absorption and a USB2000-FLG for emission characterization within the visible spectral range.
